Hagane Gear - Highly durable cold-forged aluminum drive gear :

With amazing strength and durability, the HAGANE Gear is at the very heart of the reel. Shimano, through the application of state-of-the-art technologies, gives you the long-lasting smoothness and pleasure that you feel when you first use a reel, over and over again. No cutting work is applied to the teeth of the drive gear. Instead the entire surface is calculated in minute detail by special 3D design and then formed by Shimano’s cold forging technology. X-Ship - The Embodiment of smoothness :

The X-SHIP system gives reels increased gearing efficiency and power, eliminating twist and rotor flex. The result is powerful and silky smooth cranking by efficiently and effectively transmitting input power.

G Free Body :

G Free Body technology has been developer to shift the reel´s centre of gravity closer to the rod. This has been achieved by moving the oscillation mechanism 19 mm from the bottom of the reel to the top. By moving the centre of gravity closer to the anglers hand position, the G Free Body helps to reduce fatigue and enhance casting comfort.

AR-C Spool :

A spool design with a V-shape spool lip ensuring that the line comes off the reel in smaller loops for further and more accurate casting. The AR-C spool will minimise the risk of backlash.

XT-7 Body :

The XT-7 material is solid, lightweight and robust. It provides excellent storage for the gearbox and movable components of the reel. It is used in the production of lower and middle class Shimano reels and spools.
