When designers Rapala preparing the model Shad Rap, it was their aim to develop and produce the best wobbler in the world. Lure was designed to resemble small forage fish that it was easy to cast and keep the mean depth of the water column. Rocking motion is the hallmark of this type. After casting leave while lying wobbler on the surface and then tighten sharply in the range of one to two meters, to get wobbler to about 1 m depth and then let it float up to the surface again. Shots come in the column, but especially at the end of the cycle just prior to surfacing wobbler.
